Very rare German cd promo cd in cardboard sleeve.

Quorthon was rightfully deemed one of the most prominent pioneers in the annals of metal. He more or less invented black metal, he invented viking metal and had just released some of Bathory’s finest albums with Blood Fire Death, Hammerheart and Twilight Of The Gods when things came to halt. He had not really much to prove and couldn’t take Bathory that much further. At this point he decided to try something else. He released a thrash metal album called Requiem under the Bathory name while working on material that didnt fit the Bathory frame. The result was the 1994 album called Album, where the 3-track promo that was sent out prior to the album was called Single. The album didnt do that well as it didnt sound like Bathory but Quorthon was way to creative to stay within the limited Bathory frame. He enjoyed creating music and did it straight form his heart. So even if these solo recordings or later Bathory were widely scorned at the time they do features some tremendous songs. So if youre open minded you will enjoy these recordings. If you didnt like these when they came out then its time to go back and re-discover these. The 3-track promo single features three tracks from the album. The only difference is that the last song is called Boy In The Bubble, which was shortened to just Boy on the final album release.
