The Final Sessions is the last recordings of the taskmaster, baseball fanatic, Elvis-o-phile and creator of the buzzsaw method that bands today cant even get close to sounding like.Yet everybody tries. There was only one. God bless The Ramones. Johnny Ramones last session was a tribute to his idol Elvis Presley. This was done after his retirement but he did it with two friends of his; Slim Jim Phantom of Stray Cats and Lemmy Kilmiester from Motorhead. The A side features Lemmy on vocals while the B-side, Viva Las Vegas, is an instrumental. Ramones fans knows that Johnny’s playing is not about being the most technical but if you’re a Ramones fan and collector, you should get this. Its so much fun to hear him cutting it loose with Lemmy and Slim Jim.
