Little Dead Berth is one of the oldest and most distinguished Russian metal bands. They were founded in Voronezh back in 1994. Today’s music is a combination of symphonic arrangements, alternating female operatic vocals and growling, and the high density of guitar sound with undeniable national color. In Memorium Premortis is a re-mastered and reissued version of their debut album, that originally only was released on cassette back in 1998. Back then the band were used that much symphonic arrangements instead leaning more towards being just a doom death metal band. Their debut offers plenty of crushing guitar riffs, often beefed up by the bass. The band uses both male and female, clean and growling vocals and they also ad some violines. However the albums suffers a bit as it lacks the muscular string effects that would appear on later album. However some will probably prefer this sound, so I guess its just a matter of taste.
