Dutch death metal dominators Thanatos third album, Angelic Encounter, was released back in 2000. This album shows a bigger picture of Thanatos abilities of combining excellent musical skills with complex yet straight-forward songs that perfectly blend the ferocity of riff-oriented thrash metal with the sheer brutality of death metal. The album also features guest appearance by Joe Lewis from Vital Remains where he is doing vocals on two of the tracks
