The occult, heavy metal and doom inspired project from Seymour, Connecticut, US, Vestal Claret was originally formed in 2005 and active until 2007. Then they made a short return in 2009 before finally being reformed with the original members in 2010. Their 2020 self titled album is the bands third album (their first since 2014). The album includes their classic heavy/doom sound but spices it up with a folky/psychdelic 60s vibe. Make no mistakes, this is classic Vestal Claret with the instantly recognizable vocals of Phil Swanson and the heavy riffs of Simon Tuzzoli. If you loved all their previous work, then this is a must have for you.
