Swedens Myronath returned with their third opus, Inferno, in 2024. It isnt easy to make a black metal album in Sweden that stands out since our history is full of glorious black metal album. And for any band within any genre a third album is always hard to produce. A third album needs to show that youre a force to be reckon with and it has to be youre strongest so far. Otherwise you will probably be stuck in that lower territory. Myronath has managed to save their gruesome atmosphere and have come up with some really strong songs. From the opener. La Selva Oscura, to the closing Apotheosis we have band that has managed to create their own identity. The quality of the songs is probably the strongest and most even compared to the bands previous two albums. This feels like their best albums but its still small gap from those classic Swedish black metal albums. Watain, Necrophobic, Marduk, Dark Funeral, Lord Belial, Setherial, Nifelheim, Sweden is just full of high quality acts. If Inferno is the album that will see the Myronath mentioned with the bands above remains to be seen. For now its a strong album to exlore and enjoy. Lets see what the future brings
