Formed all the way back in 1974, Dark Quarterer was an Italian cult act, not unlike countrymen Death SS. It took them almost fifteen years to release their first album, they released their fourth (and last) in 1992. There is no-one like Dark Quarterer really so if you love your metal a little more strange then this band is for you. They can produce anything from pure metal, to modern retro music to lengthy and epic music. Many of their tracks has a sense of grandeur and melody with many memorably passages. Best From The Past isnt really a compilation of their best studio tracks but instead focuses on the past. Here you have rare demo material, two live tracks and a rare previously unreleased track called Melted Brain. Some of the demo tracks are early version in Italian but since they never managed to attract any major deal with Italian producers they re-arranged and re-recorded the tracks in English for later releases.
