Description
Holland tape. Black/silver cassette with black texture While Status Quo's original U.K. label, Pye, never balked at reassembling the band's back pages for a string of compilation albums, Quo themselves waited until 1980 before authorizing their own collection of past hits, serving up 12 of the 13 British hits they'd enjoyed since joining Vertigo in 1972. The name of the album ‘12 Gold Bars Vol. 1’ was another huge success for the band. In 1984 Vertigo released the follow up album called ’12 Gold Bars Vol.2’. The tracks on this compilation comes from the albums ‘Just Supposin’ 1980, ‘Never Too Late’ 1981, ‘1982’, ‘Back To Back’ 1983 and a live track taken from ‘Live At NEC’. The most interesting track however is ‘The Wanderer’ that up to that point hadn’t been released before. ‘The Wanderer’ was recorded by the band in 1984 and it was the last to feature Alan Lancaster and Pete Kircher.
