Abigor – Time Is The Sulphur In The Veins Of The Saint
The unholy Austrian black metal combo Abigor was formed in 1993 by T.T., P.K., and Tharen. After recording several demos, Tharen was replaced by Silenius with whom the band recorded yet another demo entitled Hate And Sin just prior to being signed by Napalm Records. In 1994, their debut album Verwustung / Invoke the Dark Age was released. This powerful debut quickly established Abigor as serious and credible black metal, separating them from the truckloads of bands that were popping up all over the world in the wake of the antics and hype of the Scandinavian scene. Abigor has been a very prolific band over the years and they released their eight full length album Time Is The Sulphur In The Veins Of The Saint that features two long tracks in the best Abigor style
Blacklodge – T/ME
Conceptually linked to Abigor (whose eight album Time Is The Sulphur In The Veins Of The Saint was released on the same date. And both those two studio albums are released on one double lp), and also based on Albert Einsteins quote: Time is Satans way of keeping everything from happening at once, Blacklodge return with an impressive recording. Powerful riffs, possessed vocals and acid electronic sounds in a tremendously efficient blend of Black Metal and electronics in a menacing and bleak climate. Blacklodge developed a strong personality, expressed by a highly efficient musical language with a unique power of evocation: within seconds only the desolate wastelands appear, the harsh reality that Blacklodge is all about.
