Description

Original Bozz press. Black vinyl with printed innersleeves

Baltimoores formation came about in 1987, after vocalist Bjorn Lodin (ex-Six Feet Under and Rainfall), then a member of the band Ready Steady (Tomas Broman ex-Electric Boys, Mikael Hoglund ex-Thunder) had the plug pulled on an incomplete recording project by Electra, at the time Scandinavias largest record company. Electra offered Bjorn a contract as a solo artist. Bjorn have said Calling the project Baltimoore instead of Bjorn Lodin was an idea born mostly out of fear. The debut album ‘There’s No Danger On The Roof’ was released in the spring of 1989 and it received rave reviews. Two tracks ‘My Blue Moon’ and ‘Ballerina’ both became hit singles in Sweden and the whole album went up to number 37 on the Swedish charts. The album features ex-Six Feet Under and Glenn Hughes guitarist Tomas Larsson, guitarist Stefan Bergstrom (pre-Skintrade), keyboard player Mats Olausson, bassist Ulf Widlund, drummer Rolf Alex, keyboard and strings Ulf Wahlberg, guitarist Lars Jonsson, bassist Anders Astrom and backing vocalists Mikael Rickfors, Ronny Lahti and Micke Andersson. The album is still to this day considered one of the best AOR albums to come out of Sweden.
