Veteran Birmingham rock band Magnum has been recording albums since the 1970s. Songs from that decade featured in earlier best of records. ‘Chapter And Verse’ is a compilation that features some of the band’s finest tracks from the mid 1980s through to the early 1990s. Songs are taken from the albums ‘On A Storytellers Night’, ‘Vigilante’, ‘Wings Of Heaven’, and ‘Goodnight LA’. The majority of songs were written by guitarist Tony Clarkin and lead singer Bob Catley In many respects this period represented Magnum’s most successful time in terms of record sales. The Wings of Heaven opus even brought them Top 40 hits and appearances upon the now defunct British Top of the Pops TV show. Best tracks include Just like an Arrow, Start Talking Love, and When the World Comes Down but for the Magnum collector that already have all studio album it’s the remix version of ‘Midnight’ that are worth the money as it’s a rather exclusive track Track listing: 1.
