1984 was Helix most successful year so far. Their new album at the time, ‘Walking The Razors Edge’, was putting the band on the heavy metal map and the band were now touring with major acts. By the end of the year the band were booked on the short German festival tour called ‘Christmas Metal Meeting’ that lasted between Christmas and New Year of 1981. This album was recorded on their first show of the tour at Walter Kobel Halle in Russelsheim, Germany on the 26th of December 1984. The Christmal Metal Meeting consisted of headlining act Motorhead with Helix, Mercyful Fate, Girlschool and Talon as opening acts. The tour continued with a gig at the Pink palace in Essen on the 27th, Volklingen on the 28th, Bad Rappenau Sporthalle in Heilbronn on the 29th and the tour ended on the 30th of December with a gig in Nurnburg. This album came out in 1985 and even though the sound quality is quite bad its still a rare item and any fan of Helix knows that there aren’t any other limited live albums out there.
