By B-Day Tankard’s sound certainly had reached such a level of maturity and production standards are particularly audible in the guitar sound which is a lot heavier than ever before in the past. Guerres vocals are now more suitable for thrash metal and they are full of charisma. This band has come a long ways for being their 20th anniversary thats twenty fucking years of thrashing madness, and they show no signs of slowing down whatsoever. Not too many bands have been able to do it like Tankard does and thats being able to still thrash old school like the days of the 80s. Tankard still keeps it old school, just listen to the riffs done by one man, Andy, followed by great audible bass lines that go right behind the guitars. And the way that Olaf drums throughout the whole album really gives it an old school vibe. This album is a stronghold in the realm of thrash metal. It stays true to the original sound of thrash, yet kicks copious amounts of ass.
