Very rare white label test pressing. Testpressings are very hard to obtain and are often only made in 5-25 copies. A testpressing or an acetate is a crown jewel in any vinyl collection. The Rubbermaids were a German punk rock band that was formed in Hamburn back in 1986. Most people took notice of them in 1988 when they were on the ‘Elbground II’ sampler with the track ‘High Flite’. Their debut album ‘Vulcanite’ was released a year later but it was with extensive touring that the band got their recognition. Many other Hamburg bands stayed in the studio to record more albums while The Rubbermaids played everywhere. Their cool and powerful punk music and energetic live gigs earned them a lot of numerous fans. Their second album, ‘Twisted Chords’, was released in 1991 and its an album that includes some great tracks like Rosies Bar and Got Kicked. ‘Twisted Chords’ really held the same high standard they had set with the first album. A third album was released in 1992 but the band disbanded in 1994. A few Rubbermaid members founded together with ex-Slime members the band Rubberslime who released a couple of albums.
