Description

Turbo from Poznan in Poland that was created in 1980. The band started out as a hard rock band with their first 7″ EP back in 1980 and then went further, through classic Heavy Metal to Speed/Thrash to Thrash, and then they went back to Heavy Metal after the reunion in 2000. Turbos style of bloodthirsty thrash was made famous throughout Poland until the early nineties when Turbo mysteriously decided to call it quits. After a near decade of hiatus, Turbo reunited, but with a slight change under their belts. Turbo decided to abandon most of their thrash elements by switching to a traditional metal sound on Awatar. On the 16th of December in 2003 the band performed an unplugged show at the Blue Note Club in their hometown of Poznan. This show was recorded and released as a bonus disc in the Anthology 1980-2008 box-set. In 2009 Metal Mind productions released a remastered version of this show under the title Akustycznie, with a slightly different artwork then the version from the box-set.
