Deathspell Omega are often quoted as one of the leading actors in the stylistic and conceptual renovation of black metal. Infernal Battles is the first album and it features 4 tracks written for that album together with 4 tracks taken from the Disciples Of The Ultimate Void demo. This particular release is far bleaker and stripped down in comparison to Kenose and Fas. Its without doubt the rawest of their recordings but it still features the recognizable DsO style.
