1991 live dvd with bonus live cd from 1998

Cinderella were one of the best of the late 80s and early 90s hair metal bands. I know what your thinking, Cinderella? What about Poison? Cinderella made many passes with Poison later in their career, and blew Poison off the stage every time. Cinderella always had that little something the others didn’t. Not only were they about good times and good women, but they had a bluesy tone that most bands had forgotten about in the 90s. This dvd were recorded at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit on the 3rd of May 1991 when the band were sharing a tour with Nelson and Lynch Mob during their Heartbreak Station tour. Your getting the best footage available at the time, which is still quite clear, and shot at multiple angles but don’t expect anything near HD quality. From the opening chords of The More Things Change to the closing fanfare of Shelter Me, Cinderella deliver seventeen songs packed with bluesy swagger and heartfelt emotion. The best thing is that the cd doesn’t feature the same gig but another gig recorded during two nights at the Key Club in Los Angeles, October 2 and 3, 1998. Even if this one was recorded in 1998, the band sounds just as tight here as on Night Songs. Tom Keifers menacing vocal assault is still just as tearing as it was all those years ago, when Night Songs was the metal album du jour on MTV. In Concert is a fair and balanced career-long retrospective that will equally please die-hard fans and those just looking to reminisce with some fun about one of hair metal’s most straight-ahead super rock stars.
