Bermudian singer-songwriter and poet Heather Nova recorded live in Germany in June and July of 2003. First out is a concert from Gloria Theater in Cologne on the 16th of June and it is followed by a show from Grunspan in Hamburg, Germany on the 15th of July. This was a really hot evening where many fled into the foyer to try to get a glimpse of fresh air. Five of the ten tracks performed this evening comes from Ms Novas at the time new album Storm, a tremendously melancholy, soulful and just wonderful work. And wonderful was also Nova this night. Ms Nova is a woman that manages to capture the attention from anyone and everyone in the concert hall. She looks dreamily-naive and yet confident and determined and even if youre placed in the back row it still feels like she looks straight into your eyes. This was a calm show, full of honest and deep feelings and often close to the border of melancholy. This was an evening of total satisfaction even though the clothes were soaked with sweat.
