Illustrating Metallicas impact on music outside of heavy metal, an aggregation of industrial bands covers 13 songs in tribute. Actually, there arent 13 different songs, since several appear twice by different bands. Razed in Black, Abaddon (yes the drummer of the black metal pioneers Venom), and Die Krupps will probably be the most recognizable names to metal fans, and the latter by virtue of an entire Metallica tribute album of their own. Hellsaus Master of Puppets, Razed in Black's Damage Inc, and Spew's For Whom the Bells Toll covers lead the pack for me, followed closely by the two Nothing Else Matters covers by The Element and Apotygma Berzerk and Whiplash by Abaddon of Venom but with all tribute albums theres boring or mediocre songs. You dont need to me be Metallica die hard fan to appreciate things on here. If you love Industrial music (or any type of techno for that matter) then theres alot to like, but if you can't stand electronic sound, then don't buy it. It's that simple.
