2014 re-issue with bonus track and bonus dvd

A legendary obscure cult raw US power metal album, reissued as a 2-discs edition including a cd with the 4 songs of the legendary Knights Of Metal EP along with a bonus track (plus lyrics for first time and liner notes) and a bonus dvd with rare live footage including unreleased songs. Wyzard were a young four-piece metal band from San Antonio, Texas that rocked the Alamo city back in the days with bands like S.A. Slayer, Prezence and Juggernaut. All four tracks from the original EP are pure out-and-out metal delivered in a fast n furious style. Guitarist Michael Angelo Valenzuela produces some fine power riffing and soloing throughout the proceedings, especially on Knights Of Metal which for me is the best track, even if the riff is almost a carbon copy of the old Montrose classic Black Train. I have seen reviews that has slaughtered this album complaining about the demo quality of the songs and calling it a weak recording. However i would say that this is more due to the reviewer not knowing the history of the release than anything else. This was a private pressed EP released back in 1984 and shouldnt be compared to new releases. The first Bathory, first Mayhem, first Sodom and so on doesnt have the same production as their later releases but it doesnt mean we dont like them. So if you like early 80s obscure gems then you probably like this one to with warts and nall. With tracks like Crystal City and Future Knight i see no reason why you shouldnt.
