Original soundtrack to popular the TV series Rich Man, Poor Man (De Fattiga Och De Rika when it was shown on Swedish television) written and composed by Alex North. This TV series featured Peter Strauss, Nick Nolte, Susan Blakely. Bill Bixy ran in 1976 and was one of the first television mini-series and it still considered one of the best. It won countless Emmy nominations and won four of them. Since the series was broadcast as 12 x 50 minutes episodes it of course featured more music that could fit onto this vinyl album. So unfortunately the album only contains a selection of themes but it still brings back a lot of nice memories and it still do some justice to Alex North’s rich traditional score, but by no means as much as it should (which would mean the release of at least a packed two-album set). The music that is here is gorgeous and provides the listener with a North-driven journey through several decades of dramatic and noir underscore styles.
