Description
Limited picture disc The German band Crematory plays electronic-tinged heavy metal with a strong Gothic sensibility. This band have changed a lot since the debut album. Some say that the old Crematory was better, darker and more complex but ‘Act Seven’ is the perfection of their new formula. This is pure fucking gothic, using all the ingredients in the right way. Sharp guitars, mixed vocals (growls, clean vocals, female vocals), synth-pop keys and a little touch of complex arrangements. The opener ‘I Never Die’ (after the intro ‘Shining’), is a success, it has ingredients from the present and the dark heaviness from the past. But this album, has everything, hits like ‘Fly’ and ‘Waiting’, songs in the vein of the previous effort like ‘Moonlight’ or ‘Awake’ and more experimental stuff like ‘The Holy One’ and specially ‘The Game’ with a very old-gothic approach in the vocals. It also features two ballads, ‘Memory’ and the closing ‘Tale’. Track listing: 1. Shining 2. I Never Die 3. Moonlight 4. Fly 5. Memory 6. The Holy One 7. The Game 8. Waiting 9. Awake 10. Tale
