Beginning and ending their CD by using samples of the Bad News LP (Rik ‘Bottom/Young Ones’ Mayall) means that attitude-wise these guys are definitely above level. This pushy Hardcore incorporates typical Biohazard-like changeovers between lead and backing vocals. The odd exciting bass lick provides musical cliff-hangers and vocalist Mark comes across as a real grumpy hog foaming at the mouth. Their love of touring, beer, hard-hitting hardcore and ‘In-your-face’ live shows has earned Freebase a reputation that precedes them. They have firmly established themselves at the forefront of UKHC.
