Description
2002 cd release with 4 bonus tracks from a BBC session 1982 Newcastle, Tynesiders Geordie started in the early 70s. Their first line-up included; Vic Malcolm (lead guitar), Tom Hill (bass guitar), Brian Gibson (drums) and Brian Johnson (lead vocals), who later went on to join the Australian hard rock band, AC/DC after Geordies fourth album. The band received some minor chart success with some of the early singles. When Bon Scott died in 1980 Ac/dc asked Brian Johnson to join as the new singer (Scott himself had praised Brians vocals before he died). This was a major catastrophe for Geordie but they managed to regroup and went in to record a fifth album that were released in 1983 under the name ‘No Sweat’. Unfortunally the album did not achieve much success so the band changed name to 'Powerhouse' and released an eponymous album in 1986 before disbanding indefinitely. Track listing: 1. No Sweat 2.
