First album of Sarcofago, I.N.R.I., was in the terms of 1980s very heavy and brutal black metal album. Thirteen years later Sarcofago released the Crust EP, which turned out to be also their swansong. And though it’s not as avant gardist, not as shocking, not as original and not as good as I.N.R.I., it surely is also a very extreme album. The music is really fast with endless blast beats and the drum machine goes insane but the madness fits well with the music. Brutal death metal and thats what the band prefered and even having a track on the album called FOMBM (Fuck Off Melodic Black Metal) where they spit out their guts about the trend in extreme metal that they hated.

Crust is an extreme and experimental album but maybe not that brilliant that you thought it would be. Because in all honesty, when the band started out and released such a milestone album like I.N.R.I. It set the the bar high and the band seemed to have been destined for so much bigger things during their 15 year long career. But no matter what you think of later albums such as Hate, The Worst and Crust it will never change anything. Sarcofago will always be upon the most influencial bands in the history of extreme music
