Description

The Black Crowes earned a large following by revamping the music of the late 60s and early 70s for a young crowd that never knew it firsthand. The sound borrows heavily from the two-guitar thrust of the Rolling Stones and the Southern boogie of the Allman Brothers, as well as the soul and rhythm-and-blues that both those groups poached. Their debut album Shake Your Money Maker, released in 1990, were a massive hit with now classic songs like Twice As Hard, Jealous Again and a version of Otis Redding’s Hard To Handle. The Captured Live album features radio and tv apperances the band did at the time. Among these we have two unplugged tracks recorded at the National Video Center in New York on the 19th of November 1990 that the band did for MTV unplugged. But not all tracks are unplugged as most of them goes out in full swing and are as groove-worthy as Mr. Robinson made them out to be.
