Description
In 1988, Eric Clapton celebrated his 25 years of career with a tour which took him to Europe and America. On September 21 of the same year, he was playing at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, and this is the show that can be seen here. Clapton plays the main songs of his career, from Cream to his solo career via Blind Faith ( Can’t Find my Way Home’). We hear rock, blues, reggae (I Shot the Sheriff’), we witness wonderful guitar solos, from him and from Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits who accompanied him on this tour. Note the little-known Same Old Blues in which Clapton outdoes himself. Nathan East also did a superb bass solo there. Only small flaw: the image has not been remastered. That said, we are witnessing a superb essential show for fans of Eric Clapton.
