Special import. Classic Rock is a British magazine dedicated to rock music, and its a sister publication to Metal Hammer and Prog. Although firmly focusing on key bands from the 1960s through early 1990s, it also includes articles and reviews of contemporary and upcoming artists it deems worthy of note. Despite starting as an on-off project in 1998 it became one of the UK’s best selling music magazines. It has very detailed main articles and also features music news, record reviews, discographies, bios etc…It also has tons of the best unpublished photos. A must for the collector.
This issue has 132 pages written in English and features articles and interviews with the pioneers, the provocateurs, the personalities and the politics that led to women claiming their rightful place in rock history. While female artists rule the worlds of pop and country, like it or not they just aren’t as prominent or successful in rock music. And because they’re not as big, magazines tend to cover those artists less. So here you have a magazine with loads of women from all over the vast rock spectrum, from the early pioneers to household names, to those just starting out. We also have an article about the founding Mothers Of Rock N Roll, The Stories Behind The Songs: Tina Turner and more. Highly recommended to pop and rock lovers
