If we put together some Judas Priest inspired traditional Heavy Metal riffs with some of the Mercyful Fate haunted melodies and guitar leads and then ad a little touch of Black Sabbath and a slight touch of Metallic’s modern era what we have then could very well be A Tortured Soul’s debut entitled Kiss Of The Thor album. A Tortured Soul from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA was formed 2002 and their debut demo Tomorrow’s Door was released in 2005. This demo was quite a success for the band as the band soon landed a record deal. On this debut album it shows that the bands most powerful weapons are their riffs and vocals and that special atmosphere they manage to create using some dark musical elements without leaving the Metal musical background. Their singer got a wide range of vocal from mid range singing, to higher range screams and even some aggressive stuff can be heard as well. The band delivers powerful riffs and you would really enjoy the main parts of their songs but their leads and solos are cool as well.
