The two tracks on this shaped picture disc was taken from Abbath’s 2016 album Outstrider. The material here sees a maturation in sound, delivering a tighter, well-rounded offering from the band as they come into their own identity. Both riffs and solos rans high between Abbath and new member Ole Andre Farstad, who has an ear for leads with an unexpected turn; however, it would be patently unfair to single out individual members when the final product lacks any obvious drawbacks. In fact this product is a vision truly unblinkered.
