After a 12-date European tour opening for Black Sabbath in April, bassist Mark Evans was fired from Ac/dc on 3 May 1977 and manager Michael Browning pushed for Englishman Cliff Williams, who had previously played with Home and Bandit. Williams, who could also sing background vocals, passed the audition and was asked to join the band. The band finally toured America for the first time in the summer of 1977 before going back to Sydney in early 1978 to record their next album, Powerage. The album was released on 25th of May 1978 and the initial sales were somewhat disappointing and the band headed back out on tour. The band started out in the UK before going to Munich in Germany for an Rock Pop TV appearance. After that ti was finally off or another Us tour. The Powerage US tour started in Norfolk on the 24th of June and ran up to 3rd of October before the band had a week off before a full European tour started. This album features a gig from the American Powerage tour, namely a show from the B.Ginnings club in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA that took place on the 14th of September 1978 and as a bonus we have 3 tracks from the 4 O’Clock Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from that first US tour in 1977, 7th of September.
