Description

Hungry and tirelessly hard-working, AC/DC toured and recorded constantly in the 1970s. Their first four studio albums – High Voltage (1975), T.N.T. (1975), Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976), Let There Be Rock (1977) and Powerage (1978) – were produced by George Young and his Easybeats partner, Henry Vanda. The Vanda-Young tandem captured the band’s raw energy in the studio. At the same time, AC/DC’s songs had a straightforward appeal that made them more of a hard rock than a heavy metal band. Mark Evans left the band at the beginning of 1977, with Cliff Williams taking his place. In the fall of 1977, AC/DC released ’Let There Be Rock’, which became their first album to chart in the U.S. ‘Powerage’, released in spring of 1978, expanded their audience even further, thanks in no small part to their dynamic live shows (which were captured on this album recorded in Nashville, TN on the 8th of August 1978). This is a classic FM radio show that were broadcast on WKDF Radio and even if its only 36 minutes of music its still as intense as only AC/DC can be. Track listing: 1. Intro 2. Live Wire 3. Problem Child 4. Sin City 5. Gone Shootin' 6. Whole Lotta Rosie 7. Rocker
