Very few black metal and/or dark metal bands go down the road that Aeterus has paved. Once heavily rooted in the classic black metal scene then venturing into the dark metal realm and then they turned into a crushing and menacing death black act. They fuse death metal and black metal with some doom elements in a unique way. Their debut album Beyond The Wandering Moon is a classic and although they act less epic and atmospheric today, they are still unique and easy to recognize with their approach to add death metal growls to their dangerously simmering black metal. The title on their 2023 album, Philosopher, is so suitable as the album is very complex and intricate. Nearly three decades since they started and Aeternus can enrich lifes of fans of extreme metal.
