A limited 7” single release featuring the demo version of Inner Sanctum and a cover of the Death classic Evil Dead. Towering above the vast majority of nefarious contemporary noisemakers, London’s Akercocke emerged in the UK metal scene in the late 1990s, wielding a fiendishly inventive blend of Death, Black and Progressive Metal styles. The band’s distinctive, smartly-dressed image and eloquent preoccupation with all things dark and Satanic marked them out both as fiercely individual artists and enlightened students of the pitch-black sonic code.
