Description
A square shaped flexi disc
Fun Ranch Frolics was based on the Fun Ranch Boogie track, a fearsomely funky uptempo barnyard shuffle that would end up on the album Gagged But Not Bound. This take was done at Big Poppas house in San Luis Obispo which was called The Fun Ranch. Albert was asked to do a sound page for Guitar player and made this jam session. He was joined by Big Poppas old friends John Ferraro and Freebo on the recording. They asked what are we going to do and Al says lets just do this little fast two beat. They played it and both John and Freebo werre laughing at Albert. He asked why and they said you just nicked Fun Ranch Boogie with a different b section” and Albert said “Oh dear…you’re right” so thats how he wrote the song. This flexi disc comes from the Soundpage in the October 1987 issue of Guitar Player Magazine. After the tune Albert Lee explains some of the Technics he used while playing it.
