Description
All Steel Coaches was a Swedish alternative rock band from Hallsberg. They started out in 1987 and during their career they released two albums and a bunch of singles before calling it a day in 1992. The group members were Nils Mikaelsson (guitar), Anders Stalsby (bass), Anders Drakenberg (drums) and Ola Jeansson (vocals). The band actually performed at the Hultsfred Festival the same year they started but under the name The Gathering. Their 1988 self titled album had a few good tracks but then the band became punkier and rockier sounding much like Sator for their second album Switch. If you have heard All Steel Coaches first album and then wrote the band off then you made a huge mistake. Between the first and second album the band represented Sweden at the EBU Festival 1989 in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia. The band saw a great opportunity to promote themselves at this festival and pressed this vinyl single with two track from their coming album. They gave this single away for free to journalists and visitors at the EBU festival. When they got back to Sweden they noticed that their actually were demand for the single even in Sweden so they pressed up a second bunch and released them for sale. Even this second pressing came without picture sleeves.
