Void is the debut album of Altarmang – a music entity by Kenneth Hansson and Pär Boström. Intuitive reel-to-reel tape storytelling, herbal alchemy and ceremonial surrendering combined into two long tracks that runs for 35 minutes. This is eccentric, esoteric dark ambient music where the listeners are urged to follow these artists into a deep trance-like state. The music is easily enjoyable in its own right, but it is an exceptional tool for meditation purposes. Pär Boström is also known for his project Kammarheit and Cities Last Broadcast. Kenneth is a real alchemist. He chose what herbs to use and explained their unique quality. I sat next to him, inhaling the atmosphere, letting my mind wander’ Pär says. The preparations were for setting space and shifting into a focused and trance-like state. All five recording sessions tapped into that space and state says Kenneth.
