Amaranthe’s fifth studio album, Helix, was released in 2018. In one way the band takes another leap in their sonic evolution while on the other hand it also feels like a return to form. Up to this point it might have been their most focused work to date. Helix is armed with a dozen pop metal anthems with really catchy choruses. Helix is the album that showed that Amaranthe was ready to tear down the age-old walls separating metal and mainstream.
