Have A Hangover With is a split single between the Finnish punk band Anal Thunder and the New York hardcore act No Redeeming Social Value. Anal Thunder was founded in 1997 in Lappeenranta. Alcohol is a contributing factor in the band and they regularly refer to it in their lyrics. Their lyrics are deliberately provocative and the band does not encourage anyone to drink too much, unless they want to be branded as strolling along like an idiot. As the band members have grown older, political themes have also appeared in their work. The two tracks here is some fine street punk rock with raspy vocals accompanied by Bad Religion sounding backing vocals. Rarely do the Finns cross the three-minute-line, they are smart enough to concentrate their songs into fast, furious and phenomenal punk smashers. No Redeeming Social Value, also known as NRSV, was born out of the gritty New York hardcore scene of the late ’80s. Alcohol, marijuana and parties are major themes in the group’s music and they have spent decades turning packed rooms into full-blown parties. Known for their beer-soaked anthems and tongue-in-cheek take on hardcore culture, the Queens-based band remains a beloved fixture for fans who crave fun, energy, and unapologetic chaos.
