Anders Gesar went under the artist name of Lill-Anders. He was a Swedish accordionist that became quite famous and popular in his hometown of Boda and throughout the rest of Dalarna. He started out as a painter and showed early on an arrtistic talent but his main interest were music. In the sixties he had his own orchestra called Lill-Anders Quintet. In that quintet Anders played the accordion. In the seventies and eighties the orchestra was restructured into Lill-Anders Orchestra and focused more on the popular Swedish dansbands music/dance music. When he left the orchestra he moved on and toured with fiddlers. During his career he wrote over 300 compositions. He released tapes, lps and cds up to his death in 2012. Most common are his series of albums called “Lill-Anders spelar durspel”.
