Animal Hate, with their inconspicuous steps complicated by constant personnel changes, have climbed another spot higher in the imaginary domestic metal chart with their current act. While the band released their first album Fatal Error on their own before being signed. Their third album, A Witch Shall Be Born are inspired by the R.e. Howard story with the same name. It has been diivded into three parts; What The Silent Mouth Said (tracks 1 – 3), Still The Same (4 – 6) and History Tells (7 – 9) and then ending the album with an instrumental song. The first chapter relies a more classic form of death metal with mostly classic growl and sometimes natural singing. In the second stage, a little more experimentation begins, black metal elements increase (the most of them are contained in the cover In The Darkness Of Catacomb) – black metal snarls are used more often and on the third part, melodic vocals begin to assert themselves fully and vocalist Hlav handles clean singing with ease. So if youre interested in Czech Death metal with some interesting song writing then Animal Hate is for you. The album comes with some groove in an old school way. Crunchy guitars, tasteful solos, interesting drum-work and vocalist being everything from clean to grind style vocals
