Apopocalyps was a Swedish afterski- and afterbeach band that had their heydays between 1990-1994. They recorded 5 full time albums and had a major success with the song Gunga in 1992. The members were Benny Astor, Boel Lidgren, Bosse Strid, Figge Boström, Hannah Elfvin, Jerk Eriksson, Johan Lindström, Kai Sundqvist, Mattias Welin, Nisse Andersson and Rolf Karlsson. Pattar was the bands first single and a self financed one. It was released as early as 1987. The band then signed a contract with Start Klart Records in the early 1990s, and that’s when the career started to take off. Apopocalyps first full length album and their second single was released in 1992. But, of course, anyone that saw the band in the early 90s might remember this one. A sexistic calypso song.
