This is as close to Dark Thrones Under A Funeral Moon you’re likely to get this side of purgatory. Fast simplistic ice to the bone Black Metal with nostalgia instilled in every note. From the corpse painted figure on the black and white cover to the song title themselves, you’ll be battered back to 1994 and all the passion that surrounded a new generation of goat worshiping hordes. Of course theres nothing original but this Swedish band have authenticated that chilling hollow sound so well its hard to bitch about this album. Is this a relevant release in todays watered down age of marketable Black Metal fodder? Maybe mot, but then for those of us who recall those far off days with fondness and still get butterflies in the gut when those old Dark Throne discs hit the deck, then bands like this have their palace. The days when music sounded truly evil are long passed but Armagedda have slashed their way out of a blizzard in time and hold within the grooves of the rudimentary The Final War Approaching a glimpse of that menacing evil in all its blood curdling forms.
