Description

Arsenite from Kumla was formed in 2009 and two years later they released their first demo, High Speed Thrashing Maniacs. Their debut album Ashes Of The Declined was released in 2013 and a split album with another Swedish thrash act Zodiac Cipher followed before they released this second album, Apophis. Apophis shows a band with a fixed course. Its thrash metal in the traditional direction, which has less significant brutality, involved than a lot of todays thrash bands. On this album Arsenite tries to rely more on a raw appearance and accurate riffs, instead of having a great number of crushing speed monsters, created out of sheer massive force. Arsenite is clearly influenced by Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest and Motorhead. It has that old school thrash/speed metal feel that you get listening to old Anvil and Motorhead records.
