The fear of a nuclear war in the 80’s, hovered around the heads of the world population. You had the notorious Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union and also all this nuclear power plants all over the world. In Brazil you had the construction of Angra 1 and with this in mind The Brazilian thrash metal band Atomic Roar started to work on major concept vision of the aftermath of a global nuclear devastation where our planet are inhabit by beings contaminated by radiation and territories formed by endless deserts. This saga began in 2011 with the album Atomic Freaks. This is thrash metal with an old school Discharge touch.
