Swedish power metal act Axenstar released some amazing albums already from the start of their career. Their second album, Far From Heaven, was released back in 2003. Vocaltst and keyboard player Magnus Winterwild Eriksson is a kind of hybrid between Timo Tolkki and Tony Kakko. The bands music is also in the Finnish-style of speedy power metal. The whole band seems to be made of virtuosos and they put everything into their songs. Awesome songwriting, Tolkki-esque riffing, speedy neo classical guitarwork ala Yngwie Malmsteen. If youre into power metal then buy this album. I promise it will be among the three best albums you will get this year.
