Saying that Sweden has a great tradition when it comes to heavy metal, is as obvious as saying that the sky is blue. Axewitch maybe weren’t as known as let’s say Candlemass, Heavy Load or Europe, but managed to leave great legacy, and all their early albums have now reached legendary status. After 40 years in metals service the band decided it would be fun to go back and re-record some old classics. And here is the final result. The Last Of A Dying Breed features re-recorded versions of tracks taken from albums such as Pray For Metal (1982), The Lord Of Flies (1983) and Visions Of The Past (1984). Fans of old school Swedish heavy metal need to check this out.
