Azure was a melodic black death metal act formed in Örebro in the mid 90s. A mini album was released a year later and their first full length album, Moonlight Legend, was released in 1998. The band were then put on hold for a few years before the band then got together again and recorded a demo that led to a new record deal. So 2004 saw the band releasing their second full length album, King Of Stars Bearer Of Dark. Vocalist and guitarist Robert Kanto had teamed up with Embracing bass player Peter Ulven and former Naglfar drummer Mattias Holmgren. They also got some help with the guitar solos by Nocturnal Rites guitarist Nils Norberg. This album features so diverse material from black to melody to thrash with some nice atmosphere so it never gets boring. There are also some clean vocals among those evil screeching. Worth checking out
