Description

Beki Bondage is best known as the front woman of the punk band Vice Squad. She also formed Ligotage with Steve Roberts of UK Subs and ran The Bombshells in the second half of the 80s. In the year 2000 she released a solo album full of covers. The idea came up when Beki had done a demo version of John Lennons Cold Turkey and the folks at Disoriente records heard it and wanted Beki to sign a deal for a full cover album. The album Cold Turkey boasts 13 cover songs, from Thin Lizzy (The Boys Are Back In Town) to Nirvana (Smells Like Teen Spirit). Beki knows a thing or two about Rock N Roll and Punk Rock. Beki Bondage puts a good twist on all the songs with her raspy voice. Worth checking out
