Besatt is one of Poland’s entries in the black metal field, with a fair number of albums under their belts though they don’t appear to be that well known. Their sixth studio album ‘Triumph Of Antichrist’ just seems to be oozing with ideas. Blackened death/grind, thrash, catchy hooks, and even some nice melodies which is perfect for walking through the woods in late autumn. Besatt definitely pays homage to the Norse-ish black metal and this album sometimes sounds like Immortal. A bit more originality wouldn’t hurt, but as far as traditional Scandinavian-influenced black metal goes, Besatt does just fine.
